Dear Harpeth Trace Neighbors,
As many of you know, there were several vehicles burglarized overnight on July 8 in Harpeth Trace Estates. The impacted individuals made their own reports to the Metro Nashville Police Department, and the HTSA Security Committee worked behind the scenes to access data from our Flock Security camera system, which was installed last Fall. Using this data, we provided MNPD with information about a number of vehicles that had not been seen in Harpeth Trace prior to July 8. In a conversation Friday morning, July 10th, Sergeant Rucker, West Precinct Community Relations Officer indicated that investigators have a very strong idea of the identity of the perpetrators, and they will be intensifying their overnight patrols in several neighborhoods along the Hwy. 100 corridor for the next week. Many of these patrols will be unmarked patrol cars, so please continue to be vigilant, but do not be unduly alarmed if you observe unfamiliar cars in the neighborhood, especially after dark. Sgt. Rucker expressed his sincere gratitude to those neighbors who have reported recent incidents of graffiti, and now theft, to MNPD, along with appreciation for our Security Committee’s photographic evidence, saying it has has been immensely helpful in their investigation. If you have particular concerns, or your home security system collects visual evidence, please email the HTSA Security Committee to share that information. They can be reached via email at contact@harpethtraceestates.org, or go to www.harpethtraceestates.org, choose the Contact link, and complete the “Get in Touch” form. Thank you, The HTSA Board Security Committee Eric Elwell, Mike Milek and Lydia Spragens
